[A+ 21-30] Amasov to Annorax

Another round of dream cards for the Star Trek Collectible Card Game, resurrected from the late 90s and given graphics for the first time. There's an Andorian confusion to untangle...

THE ENTRIES:
[21] Amasov, Captain
[22] Amonak
[23] Amsterdam News
[24] anaerobic metabolites
[25] Andor

NOTES:
[21] The Borg-draining skill stays in effect even if Amasov is assimilated, guaranteeing he won't be targeted by smart players. The Endeavor was made and had an anti-Borg ability, too. I know the name was inspired by Isaac Asimov's, but the man was never photographed without his trademark glasses, making it impossible to Photoshop him into a credible TNG-era image. Source: Referenced in "Scorpion"
[22] It's gotta be a LONE personnel, meaning no other personnel must be present for the interrupt to be played. Source: Referenced in "Hunters", but the image is from "Body and Soul"
[23] A play on Extra cards, as well as on printed matter. The card title must figure wholly either in the game text, restriction or lore. Even the title is fair game (like Mogh on Worf Son of Mogh). Source: "Far Beyond the Stars"
[24] The dilemma stops your personnel UNLESS Acquisition x2 is present, and isn't discarded UNTIL it is passed. If the same exact copy of The Ol' Runaround makes you get rid of your hand 3 times (or 3 times total if both players is attempting the mission), then it is discarded de facto. Call it an odd countdown, but it protects affiliations without much Acquisition. Source: "In the Cards"
[25] I was surprised to find yet another entry for Andoria, under Andor this time. So I made fun of the situation. If a player has already seeded Andoria (Study Andorian Practices), this one cannot be played, and vice-versa. Break out the universal missions. Source: Referenced in "Change of Heart"

And now: Some big characters...

THE ENTRIES:

[26] Andros III
[27] anetrizine
[28] Anij
[29] animazine
[30] Annorax
Decipher's version:
NOTES:
[26] This is one of the stupidest missions out there, and without Dr. Bathkin, will take some doing (he's in AtoZ). Mot's Advice will help greatly, but can you find the low CUNNING on a SCIENCE personnel? Source: DS9's "In the Cards"
[27] We haven't seen a Mind Location yet, but they did exist in AtoZ at this point. Made up most of the lore so I could find something useful for the card to do. There are things your Mind Location personnel can do when the others leave him alone OR stops a bunch of personnel trying to complete a goal on their own M.L. personnel. Source: "The Gift"
[28] The P1 pack frontpiece character, she was eventually made for All Good Things (included for comparison). Though she has Leadership, you can't use her to lead a crew or Away Team into battle. Your personnel can initiate battle (along with her) if you have another leader present. As for the special skill, if the conditions for a card to have its effect are gone by the time it would trigger, it is discarded without effect. Special skills are effects, but requirements (on a mission or dilemma) are not, so a dilemma would still stop an unprepared Away Team, but wouldn't have its effect (like killing) right away. She probably has lots more skills by the way, but would be unwilling to use them (science, navigation, whatever), so I've omitted them. Source: "Insurrection"
[29] You can download as many natives of a Mind Location as you wish, but only to that Mind Location. When a personnel in a Mind Location comes out of stasis, it is taken out of the M.L.Neurogenic Field will appear in Broken Links. Source: "Waking Moments"
[30] This is the P3 pack frontpiece character. A powerful DQ NA, especially, but only if I'd managed to get to his matching ship, Year of Hell and Temporal Weapon made at the time. Good news! They'll appear soon, in Broken Links!. Because the timeline of Year of Hell never happened, I've opted for the AU icon. Source: "Year of Hell, Part II"

Next up: A Species 8472 character!

Cards: Captain Amasov, Safe Return, Extra! Extra!, The Ol' Runaround, So Which Is It?, Entertain Cells, Head... Numb..., Anij, Animazine, Annorax

[A156-165] Anchilles to Andorian

Another round of dream cards for the Star Trek Collectible Card Game, resurrected from the late 90s and given graphics for the first time. A couple of Program cards, incoming... THE ENTRIES: [156] Anchilles fever [157] Ancient Philosophies [158] Ancient West [159] Andarian glass bead [160] Andevian II  How Decipher handled it, for comparison: NOTES:  [156] Probing on a dilemma doesn't leave you much space to work with, does it? Source: While first mentioned in TNG's "Code of Honor", the virus was pictured in Enterprise's "Cold Station 12". [157] Something to seed yourself? I say "first artifact encountered" because there may be more than one under such missions as Orb Negotiations, and both opponents may have seeded one under the same mission. Source: "The Host" [158] None of the named characters were in the game when I made this card (which is naturally a Program under my scheme). Holodeck Adventures would make it an Incid...

[A1-5] 'audet IX to Abandoned

Back in the late 90s, when I was deep into the Star Trek Collectible Card Game world, one of the projects I was doing on Decipher's Bulletin Boards was a massive set of dream cards under the banner "AtoZ" (with respect to Mr. Atoz of "All Our Yesterdays"). Essentially, I took the Star Trek Encyclopedia and attempted to create an ST CCG dream card for every entry, unless the character or concept already had a card, and I think at the time, Decipher didn't have access to TOS and the movies, so those seem to be excluded as well. I got to the middle of the M's, which accounts for thousands of cards. But the thing, see, is that none of those cards had graphics. They were all just text-based. Recently, I reconnected with the ST CCG community, some of them working with the Continuing Committee, which is still making new cards. They hooked me up with excellent templates from which to bring dream cards to life. And so I've gone back to my notes a...

Apocalypse Rising Virtual Pack

I didn't do this for EVERY letter, but the first two AtoZ "expansions" had working booster packs of 15 cards, sorted like so: 11 commons (of 100 possibilities), 3 uncommons (of 100 possibilities) and 1 rare (of 113 possibilities). Which means that every time you refresh this page, you will get a different distribution of cards! Makes a nice palate cleanse before heading into the Encyclopedia's B's. Note that Enhanced Apocalypse Rising would have been 4 special packs with set card lists, and A's Broken Links would have come in a 40-page box, so those cards aren't in the booster.
