[A306-315] Ashmore to Aster

Another round of dream cards for the Star Trek Collectible Card Game, resurrected from the late 90s and given graphics for the first time. I wasn't expecting Isaac Asimov!

THE ENTRIES:
[306] Ashmore, Ensign
[307] Ashrok
[308] Asimov, Dr. Isaac
[309] asinolyathin
[310] Asoth

NOTES:
[306] The Encyclopedia originally attributed this name to a female engineer, but Voyager later revealed, through multiple references, that it was actually the official name of one of the show's regular background artists. He was only given lines in one episode, so I chose that to source the image. I changed the very basic lore of my original design to match the new information, with a wink to the female character he was initially thought to be. Source: "Memorial"
[307] Source: "Melora"
[308] Asimov's First Law states that a robotic being may not harm the life of a human being. Source: "The Most Toys"
[309] Pain Relief suspends Borg-only Incidents and/or Events, no problem, just not Borg-only Objectives. Source: "Visionary"
[310] Once one Food card is nullified, the owner would do well to bring all his Food card to their hand, lest Asoth send them all back to the kitchen. Source: "Babel"

And now: At home with the Asters...

THE ENTRIES:
[311] asparagus
[312] assay office
[313] "Assignment, The"
[314] astatine
[315] Aster, Jeremy
NOTES:
[311] Captain's Log is only doubled for that ship, of course. "Does not mix" acts as a restriction box stating that the two food cards cannot normally be present together. Yamok Sauce is a Broken Link. Source: "Phage" (with a side-order of DS9's "By Inferno's Light"
[312] A Croden's Key found in the Gamma Quadrant will not be relocated to an Alpha Quadrant Assay Office, regardless of what happened in the actual episode (Vash stored Gamma Q. artifacts there). Source: "Q-Less"
[313] The possessed personnel must board or beam to a matching ship when possible. If on a staffed ship, it must fly to the Wormhole. Note that it IS possible to strand a possessed personnel, though it pretty much becomes disabled. Also, since only one personnel is under control, its crewmates can still beam off and attempt missions, etc. Source: "The Assignment"
[314] n/a Source: "Paradise"
[315] Klingon-specific cards are those that work specifically on or for Klingons, like Klingon Disruptor, Klingon Death Yell, Klingon Right of Vengeance and Targ. Source: "The Bonding"

Next up: We'll have to stay at the Asters for one more post.

Cards: Ashmore, Ashrok, First Law of Robotics, Pain Relief, Asoth, Asparagus, Assay Office, Pah-Wraith Possession, Duonetic Ore, Jeremy Aster

[A156-165] Anchilles to Andorian

Another round of dream cards for the Star Trek Collectible Card Game, resurrected from the late 90s and given graphics for the first time. A couple of Program cards, incoming... THE ENTRIES: [156] Anchilles fever [157] Ancient Philosophies [158] Ancient West [159] Andarian glass bead [160] Andevian II  How Decipher handled it, for comparison: NOTES:  [156] Probing on a dilemma doesn't leave you much space to work with, does it? Source: While first mentioned in TNG's "Code of Honor", the virus was pictured in Enterprise's "Cold Station 12". [157] Something to seed yourself? I say "first artifact encountered" because there may be more than one under such missions as Orb Negotiations, and both opponents may have seeded one under the same mission. Source: "The Host" [158] None of the named characters were in the game when I made this card (which is naturally a Program under my scheme). Holodeck Adventures would make it an Incid...

Apocalypse Rising Virtual Pack

I didn't do this for EVERY letter, but the first two AtoZ "expansions" had working booster packs of 15 cards, sorted like so: 11 commons (of 100 possibilities), 3 uncommons (of 100 possibilities) and 1 rare (of 113 possibilities). Which means that every time you refresh this page, you will get a different distribution of cards! Makes a nice palate cleanse before heading into the Encyclopedia's B's. Note that Enhanced Apocalypse Rising would have been 4 special packs with set card lists, and A's Broken Links would have come in a 40-page box, so those cards aren't in the booster.

[A1-5] 'audet IX to Abandoned

Back in the late 90s, when I was deep into the Star Trek Collectible Card Game world, one of the projects I was doing on Decipher's Bulletin Boards was a massive set of dream cards under the banner "AtoZ" (with respect to Mr. Atoz of "All Our Yesterdays"). Essentially, I took the Star Trek Encyclopedia and attempted to create an ST CCG dream card for every entry, unless the character or concept already had a card, and I think at the time, Decipher didn't have access to TOS and the movies, so those seem to be excluded as well. I got to the middle of the M's, which accounts for thousands of cards. But the thing, see, is that none of those cards had graphics. They were all just text-based. Recently, I reconnected with the ST CCG community, some of them working with the Continuing Committee, which is still making new cards. They hooked me up with excellent templates from which to bring dream cards to life. And so I've gone back to my notes a...
