[C+ 36-40] Chewing Gum to Chin' toka

This time: An unusual Quark...

THE ENTRIES:
[36] chewing gum
[37] chief examiner
[38] "Children of Time"
[39] Chile
[40] Chin'toka System

NOTES:
[36] Baseball personnel have baseball mentioned in their lore. Switch artifacts with your opponent, then serve Chewing Gum, and they can't switch again on the next turn, or as long as the Gum is in play. Source: Referenced in "Take Me Out to the Holosuite", but pic from "The Big Goodbye"
[37] Another Empathy/capture effect, but sufficiently different from Cardassian Trap. Source:
[38] So if a personnel is attributes 8-6-4, its INTEGRITY, CUNNING and STRENGTH are each equal to 18. For purposes of anything EXCEPT personnel battles, that personnel would be attributes 18-18-18. The Quark Computer is the frontpiece of box P1. Source: "Waking Moments"
[39] A baseline Mind Location (let's just say the Encyclopedia was less than forthcoming about context here) that may be used on a LOT of personnel, and creates a situation where telepathic personnel may enter the Mind Location without all the complications inherent in specific MLs. Source: "Waking Moments"
[40] Weapons platforms (Cardassian or otherwise) may help with the WEAPONS requirement quite a bit. The total is derived from all sources here, not just the attempting crew's ship.  Source: "Tears of the Prophets"

Next up: One of Star Trek's rare Christmas references.

Cards: Chewing Gum, Thought Criminals, Quark Computer, Chile, Decisive Battle

[A156-165] Anchilles to Andorian

Another round of dream cards for the Star Trek Collectible Card Game, resurrected from the late 90s and given graphics for the first time. A couple of Program cards, incoming... THE ENTRIES: [156] Anchilles fever [157] Ancient Philosophies [158] Ancient West [159] Andarian glass bead [160] Andevian II  How Decipher handled it, for comparison: NOTES:  [156] Probing on a dilemma doesn't leave you much space to work with, does it? Source: While first mentioned in TNG's "Code of Honor", the virus was pictured in Enterprise's "Cold Station 12". [157] Something to seed yourself? I say "first artifact encountered" because there may be more than one under such missions as Orb Negotiations, and both opponents may have seeded one under the same mission. Source: "The Host" [158] None of the named characters were in the game when I made this card (which is naturally a Program under my scheme). Holodeck Adventures would make it an Incid...

Apocalypse Rising Virtual Pack

I didn't do this for EVERY letter, but the first two AtoZ "expansions" had working booster packs of 15 cards, sorted like so: 11 commons (of 100 possibilities), 3 uncommons (of 100 possibilities) and 1 rare (of 113 possibilities). Which means that every time you refresh this page, you will get a different distribution of cards! Makes a nice palate cleanse before heading into the Encyclopedia's B's. Note that Enhanced Apocalypse Rising would have been 4 special packs with set card lists, and A's Broken Links would have come in a 40-page box, so those cards aren't in the booster.

Broken Links [BL-B26-30] Species 8472 to The Net

More Broken Links... This time: 8472! BROKEN LINKS: [26] Species 8472 [27] Strike! [28] Baseball personnel [29] Ten-Forward [30] The Net NOTES:   [26] Needed to staff Bioships [B+49] and support all those 8472 infiltrators. In personnel battle, hand weapons don't count against them, they can't be negatively affected by Equipment cards. I almost made them unable to mix, but they definitely worked with Voyager a few times, so I've just made it more difficult to do so. Source: "Prey" [27] The card can be nullified by Bunt [B+74]. You either continue without effect, lose a personnel, or get stopped, but a "Ball" result may lose you some cards from the deck. Source: "Take Me Out to the Holosuite" [28] Captain Solok has the matching Nemesis icon. Source: "Take Me Out to the Holosuite" [29] In the list of Food-serving sites in the not to [B17]. U.S.S. Enterprise-D personnel are those that specifically reference the ship in their lore. Other ...
