[D 106-110] Deep Space 9 to Defiant

The big ones were later made by Decipher, but we'll see my takes...

THE ENTRIES:
[106] Deep Space 9 (no card required)
[107] Deep Space Station K-7
[108] deep tissue scan
[109] "Defector, The"
[110] Defiant (mirror)

Decipher's versions for comparison (it's really split into three cards):
Okay, back on track...
Decipher's version for comparison:
NOTES:
[106] Already exists as a Bajoran facility in the Deep Space Nine expansion.
[107] Because of the way later cards treated Timeline cards, this is one of the most redesigned cards I've had to post. It just didn't work. In its final form, the Tribbles that play here are the previously-released Tribble personnel card, which would work well with a Tribbles side-deck because it can "turn" into 1 Tribble, ready to be reported again. Timeline disruption in 2267: If the timeline is disrupted by Kirk dying early in his career, history is changed so that the Khitomer accords were never signed in ST VI and the Klingon Empire only lasted 50 years after that. Indeed, without Kirk's intervention, the conspiracy to keep the Klingons and Federation apart worked, even as the death of Kirk many years before Praxis's destruction had inflamed Starfleet spirits even more against the Klingons. I had to choose an effect here, and decided that Spock or someone else could have saved Earth in Star Treks I and IV. Plus, it seems fitting and ironic that the Klingon Empire would be destroyed by a Klingon's act of vengeance. The Trouble with Tribbles expansion made it a facility, the timeline was Sherman's Peak, and the timeline disruption was handled by Hero of the Empire (all included for comparison). [109] The dilemma is simply discarded if encountered by the Borg. You may choose to make the V.I.P. Non-Aligned or even to keep it the same as it was. It acts as if Brainwashed, but is not a captive. If your personnel are present, it joins your Away Team right away. If on a ship with no opposing ships around, it is an intruder. Source: "The Defector"
[110] My original idea for the Terrans was that they were Non-Aligned, as there's no Federation. What do I know. The Mirror, Mirror expansion said I was wrong (its version included for comparison). Source: "Shattered Mirror"

Next up: Some TNG cast members.

Cards: Deep Space Station K-7, Deep Probe, Defection, Defiant

Apocalypse Rising Virtual Pack

I didn't do this for EVERY letter, but the first two AtoZ "expansions" had working booster packs of 15 cards, sorted like so: 11 commons (of 100 possibilities), 3 uncommons (of 100 possibilities) and 1 rare (of 113 possibilities). Which means that every time you refresh this page, you will get a different distribution of cards! Makes a nice palate cleanse before heading into the Encyclopedia's B's. Note that Enhanced Apocalypse Rising would have been 4 special packs with set card lists, and A's Broken Links would have come in a 40-page box, so those cards aren't in the booster.

[A156-165] Anchilles to Andorian

Another round of dream cards for the Star Trek Collectible Card Game, resurrected from the late 90s and given graphics for the first time. A couple of Program cards, incoming... THE ENTRIES: [156] Anchilles fever [157] Ancient Philosophies [158] Ancient West [159] Andarian glass bead [160] Andevian II  How Decipher handled it, for comparison: NOTES:  [156] Probing on a dilemma doesn't leave you much space to work with, does it? Source: While first mentioned in TNG's "Code of Honor", the virus was pictured in Enterprise's "Cold Station 12". [157] Something to seed yourself? I say "first artifact encountered" because there may be more than one under such missions as Orb Negotiations, and both opponents may have seeded one under the same mission. Source: "The Host" [158] None of the named characters were in the game when I made this card (which is naturally a Program under my scheme). Holodeck Adventures would make it an Incid...

By Inferno's Light Virtual Pack

I didn't do this for EVERY letter, but the first few AtoZ "expansions" had working booster packs of 15 cards, sorted like so: 11 commons (of 112 possibilities), 3 uncommons (of 117 possibilities) and 1 rare (of 107 possibilities). Which means that every time you refresh this page, you will get a different distribution of cards! Makes a nice palate cleanse before heading into the Encyclopedia's C's. Note that Enhanced By Inferno's Light would have been 5 special packs with set card lists, and B's Broken Links would have come in a 40-page box, so those cards aren't in the booster.
