Broken Links [BL-B21-25] Planet-Wide Detox to Seventh Tactical Wing

More Broken Links... This time: Some of the more complicated cards to design in the set...

BROKEN LINKS:
[21] Ornara
[22] Quinn
[23] Replimat
[24] Sanctuary District A
[25] Seventh Tactical Wing

NOTES:
[21] Search Cargo Vessel [B332] creates a region with this mission. Source: TNG's "Symbiosis"; pic from Lower Decks' "Trusted Sources"
[22] The Big Bang [B201] interacts with this card (see Female Q for rules on Q-Personnel). Not only can he move a ship to that Time Location, he also takes the possibility of points part of the way with his skills AND protects the ship from destruction. The Quinn interrupt didn't exist yet, and I'm loathe to have two cards with the same title, but the download makes the distinction. Source: "Death Wish"
[23] In the list of Food-serving sites in the not to [B17].
[24] The Bell Riots card [B139] plays here and initiates timeline disruption. I tried to make it work based on that card's text, which is why your opponent at least has a chance to get a Gabriel Bell (including the Sisko one) into play to try and stop history from being changed. You might want to change history so all battle restrictions are lifted, or to make Fed missions instantly stealable. Source: "Past Tense, Part I"
[25] Introducing Fleet cards. I had only made one (in Enhanced F), but that's pretty far. Captain Bennet [B+37] is matching commander for the Fleet, which means I had to make this other one anyway. Note that Fleets have Attack and Defense bonuses like Tactics, and those are NOT the same as Weapons and Shields for cards like Captain's Log. Rules: If a Ship card is a container of Personnel and Equipment, then a Fleet is a container of Ships. It reports to a facility just like a ship does (as your regular card play) and may contain only the ships listed on it. The Fleet may move (with all ships in it) at the listed RANGE  no matter what each ship's particular RANGE is. It may move as soon as it has at least one ship inside. Once underway, the ships listed can report directly to it, but not in any number. If only one Miranda is listed, you may only report/contain one even if the ship is universal. Ships may also join the Fleet later. Joining or leaving a Fleet is considered an action just like docking/undocking. A ship must leave a Fleet in order to attempt a mission, scout, dock with a facility or beam personnel to a planet location. A ship may leave after the Fleet has expended its entire RANGE, using its own leftover RANGE (Fleet's RANGE - ship's RANGE) if any to move away. When battling, the Attack and Defense bonuses apply. Fleets cannot be "damaged" (distribute damage markers across your ships as normal). The composition of THIS fleet comes from The Sacrifice of Angels novelisation; looks like Bennet had to do with the older class of ships. Source: Referenced in "Behind the Lines"

[A156-165] Anchilles to Andorian

Another round of dream cards for the Star Trek Collectible Card Game, resurrected from the late 90s and given graphics for the first time. A couple of Program cards, incoming... THE ENTRIES: [156] Anchilles fever [157] Ancient Philosophies [158] Ancient West [159] Andarian glass bead [160] Andevian II  How Decipher handled it, for comparison: NOTES:  [156] Probing on a dilemma doesn't leave you much space to work with, does it? Source: While first mentioned in TNG's "Code of Honor", the virus was pictured in Enterprise's "Cold Station 12". [157] Something to seed yourself? I say "first artifact encountered" because there may be more than one under such missions as Orb Negotiations, and both opponents may have seeded one under the same mission. Apocalypse Rising Virtual Pack

I didn't do this for EVERY letter, but the first two AtoZ "expansions" had working booster packs of 15 cards, sorted like so: 11 commons (of 100 possibilities), 3 uncommons (of 100 possibilities) and 1 rare (of 113 possibilities). Which means that every time you refresh this page, you will get a different distribution of cards! Makes a nice palate cleanse before heading into the Encyclopedia's B's. Note that Enhanced Apocalypse Rising would have been 4 special packs with set card lists, and A's Broken Links would have come in a 40-page box, so those cards aren't in the booster.

[A1-5] 'audet IX to Abandoned

Back in the late 90s, when I was deep into the Star Trek Collectible Card Game world, one of the projects I was doing on Decipher's Bulletin Boards was a massive set of dream cards under the banner "AtoZ" (with respect to Mr. Atoz of "All Our Yesterdays"). Essentially, I took the Star Trek Encyclopedia and attempted to create an ST CCG dream card for every entry, unless the character or concept already had a card, and I think at the time, Decipher didn't have access to TOS and the movies, so those seem to be excluded as well. I got to the middle of the M's, which accounts for thousands of cards. But the thing, see, is that none of those cards had graphics. They were all just text-based. Recently, I reconnected with the ST CCG community, some of them working with the Continuing Committee, which is still making new cards. They hooked me up with excellent templates from which to bring dream cards to life. And so I've gone back to my notes a...
